Angel of Mercy
About
One woman’s courage will change everything.
Angel of Mercy transports readers to 1914 Canada, where the world is on the brink of war and one young woman must choose between love and purpose.
Henrietta “Hettie” Steward dreams of continuing her work as a nurse, but society — and her husband — expect her to abandon her career for domestic life. When war erupts in Europe and her husband enlists, Hettie defies convention and joins the Canadian Army Nursing Service. Thrust into a world of courage, heartbreak and sacrifice, she witnesses the devastating cost of battle while fighting her own inner wars of identity and devotion.
In a time when women’s voices often were silenced, Hettie’s journey of resilience and compassion shines. Angel of Mercy is a moving historical novel of love, loss, and finding strength in the face of global turmoil. Perfect for fans of Jennifer Robson, Kate Quinn, and Kristin Hannah’s The Nightingale.
Discover where duty ends and destiny begins.

Praise for this book
In Angel Of Mercy, we step off the battlefield to the place that those injured men go to either be healed or to die. We see the horrors of war through the eyes of the young nurses who also thought that their stay would be short with a chance for adventure or to meet the loves of their lives. It’s a side of war that we often fail to see or look into. I think it’s definitely a book that history and romance fiction lovers will enjoy.
